DBT funded project entitled “Identification and Functional Characterization of the Splice Variants of the Tumor Antigen SG2NA” The duration of the project is till September, 2010 and the salary is as per DBT-JNU rules.

Qualifications:
Essential:  M. Sc. in Zoology/Biotechnology/Biosciences with at least two year laboratory experience (for SRF).
Preferable: Good background in molecular biology of gene expression/cancer biology.

CSIR funded project entitled “Antiangiogenic Effects and Mechanisms of Acacetin – a Potential Role in Cancer Control”.
Salary: Rs. 14,000 /month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: MSc Biological Sciences and two years of post-M.Sc. research experience in Life Sciences.
Desired: (a) Experience in handling of and experimentation with mammalian cell culture. (b) Knowledge about tumor angiogenesis and cell signaling in cancer cells. (c) Evidence of publication in the area of angiogenesis and cancer biology.
Duration of the project: The project is valid for a period of three years. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till his/her services are required by the project director or till the validity of the project, or whichever is earliest.
