Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Lab Technician positions to work in the following Cancer Genomics research projects:

JRF/Lab Technician  - 5 Posts

DST Project "Molecular and cellular characterization of the therapeutic potential of PLA2G2A, a novel biomarker gene in metastatic gastric cancer"

BRNS Project "Molecular genomic characterization of microtron based
cancer therapy in an in vivo tumor model"

DBT Project "Functional genomic delineation of convolutions in Wnt
signaling pathway for gastric cancer diagnostics"

DBT Project  "RNAi based functional scanning of amplified genomic
regions in gastric cancers for potential therapeutic target identification"

DAE Project "Development of drug discovery assay tools and identification of potential therapeutic compounds"

Qualifications (JRF): First class M.Sc., in any branch of life sciences with hands-on experience in molecular cell biology techniques; NET/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred. Candidates with practical experience in analysing microarray data with good knowledge in bio-statistics also will be considered. Students with strong commitment and dedication for a research career are encouraged to apply along with the consolidated mark statements, reference letter from previous/current supervisors/employers and other relevant documents.

Selected, self-motivated candidates could register for Ph.D. as per the rules and regulations of Madurai Kamaraj University.

Qualification (Lab Technician): First class M.Sc., in any branch of life sciences; Candidates with hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, animal cell culture and working experience with mouse models will be preferred. Good knowledge in bio-statistics and computational biology are desirable.
