The Theme
Biology at present is taking new dimensions almost decade after decade and 21st century science is being dominated by the developments taking place in Biological sciences, particularly in Molecular Biology.
The science of Molecular Biology is concerned with forms of molecules and with evolution, exploitation and ramification of these forms in the ascent to higher and higher levels of organization. As a better understanding of these molecules requires comprehensive knowledge of related sciences like Chemistry, Mathematics and now Computer Science, the concepts of these sciences have been incorporated appropriately in the study of these molecules resulting in the evolution of a new branch called Molecular Biosciences. The emerging technologies and related developments in Molecular Biosciences offer immense potentials for a developing country like India. Hence, the objective of the present seminar is to focus on the advances in prominent areas of Molecular Biosciences by way of invited lectures by experts.
