FACULTY POSITIONS
The Gautam Buddha University, established by U. P. Act, is being developed as a University of Excellence to impart postgraduate level education in the fields of Management, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering & Applied Sciences, Law & Buddhist Studies.
The University has a fully residential campus spread over 511 acres of lush green area with all modern infrastructures to meet academic and extra curricular needs.
The University invites applications for various faculty positions in:
School of Biotechnology- At Professor and Associate Professor level only:
Genetics, Bioinformatics, Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Food Engineering, Microbiology & Biochemistry
Qualifications:
Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. An outstanding professional, working in industry with established reputation and having made significant contribution to knowledge but not having a Ph.D. degree, could also be considered in exceptional case.
Experience:
Professor - Minimum 10 years in Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent and should have good research publications. Experience of supervising research is essential.
Associate Professor - Minimum 8 years Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent and should also have good research publications. Experience of supervising research is desirable.
Assistant Professor - Minimum 03 year Teaching/Research/Industry experience Good research publications are essential.
Note: Research Publications must be in National/International refereed Journals with good impact factors/grading or Proceeding of Conferences organized by National/International Institutes or Universities of repute.
The qualification and experience prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall not entitle any candidate to be called for interview. The number of post at each level are not fixed as flexible staff structure is adopted in the University.
Pay Scales:
Professor - PB-4(37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 10500/-PM). Minimum pay in the Pay band-Rs. 48,000 Plus AGPAssociate Professor - PB-4(37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 9500/-PM). Minimum pay in the Pay band-Rs. 42800 Plus AGPAssistant Professor - PB-3(15600-39100 with AGP of Rs. 8000/-PM). Minimum pay in the Pay band-Rs. 30,000 Plus AGP
Gautam Buddha University offers Pay Scales & Allowances similar to IITs and IIMs, as approved and adopted by its Board of Management from time to time.
