DBT project titled "Studies on expression and analysis of microRNA genes in oral cavity cancer and precancer: significance in marker development and pathogenesis".
Qualification Post-graduate degree with consistently good academic record in Biochemistry/Biophysics/Biotechnology/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Life Science with two years research experience in cell biology/molecular genetics. NET qualified candidate is preferable.
Pay Rs.14,000/- per month plus HRA as per Institute rules.
Tenure of Appointment of the project : The appointment is upto 31 March 2011 which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds & performance of the candidate.
Age : Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 June 2010 with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and extremely experiences and meritorious candidates.
Candidates appearing for the interview are required to bring with them the application addressed to the Director, Indian Statistical Institute along with bio-data and photocopies of their certificates. They should also bring the original copies of the certificates for verification of photocopies.
An walk-in-interview will be conducted on 13th July 2010 (Tuesday) at 11.00 A.M. at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
Candidates will have to report at the Office of the Human Genetics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute. 203, T. Road, Kolkata 700108, on the day of interview half an hour before the time.
