Senior Research Fellow 

Wellcome Trust to work on the project entitled “The role of iron in the growth of Leishmania donovani and in interaction with host macrophages”. The project may need rigorous work on mammalian cells and in the areas of gene expression and signalling pathways as well as parasite culture. 

The preference will be given to the candidate who has excellent experience on techniques on molecular/cell biology related to RNA. The duration of the project is up to May, 2011.

Qualifications:

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent in any branch of biological sciences with experience in the area of mammalian gene expression (at least for two years).

Desirable: At least one publication in the related area in peer reviewed journal.

Fellowship: Rs. 15000/- per month (consolidated).
