Summer Research Programme 2011

24th  May to 30th June 2011 

Applications are invited from B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc. , students and high school teachers of any branch of sciences for participating in a  6-week  summer research programme being conducted at the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The Summer Programme is a part of the UGC resource networking programme.  The objective of this programme is to motivate and stimulate young and creative minds to pursue a career in science.
The summer school includes talks from experts in the field of modern biological sciences and hands-on experiments. Each participant will be allotted a laboratory for conducting experiments and enjoying their research.
Application Procedures:  Application on plain paper forwarded by the Head of the Department along with the curriculum-vitae and a one page write-up on what interests you in Science. The complete application with email-ID and contact number should reach the office of the Dean, School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi -110067, latest by 11th April, 2011.
  • Preferences will be given to the first year M.Sc., second year B.Sc students and high school teachers.
  • Selection will be done on the basis of merit and regional representations.
  • It is mandatory to attend the programme for the entire duration.
  • Participants are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation.
Travel grants: Selected candidates joining from outside Delhi will be provided with sleeper class train fare.
