Objectives
Genomics and proteomics are at the cutting edge of modern research in the field of biotechnology. The future of genomics and proteomics holds a great deal of promise for mankind. Technology and resources generated by the Human Genome Project and other genomics research are already having a major impact on life sciences research. The applications of genomics range from Molecular medicine, Energy sources and environmental applications to bioarchaeology, anthropology, evolution and forensics. Proteomics came into prominence after 1997 and quickly became a popular research avenue, holding much greater importance than scientists initially suspected. Proteomics as a complement to genomics, involves the large-scale analysis of proteins and their structure with applications in medical diagnosis, cancer prediction and discovering new molecular targets for accelerated drug discovery. The main objective of the conference is to discuss the progress, achievements and the future direction of the interrelated fields of genomics and proteomics. The conference will serve as a platform to bring together students, academicians and researchers to share their innovative ideas and experience in these exciting fields.
