Advertisement for Junior Research Fellowship

Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow to work on the project funded by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India entitled ‘Radioprotective and antioxidative potential of Decalepis hamiltonii in Drosophila melanogaster model’ under Dr S. R. Ramesh (Professor, Department of Studies in Zoology, University of Mysore, Manasagangotri, Mysore) and Dr T. Shivanandappa (CSIR Emeritus Scientist, Department of Studies in Zoology, University of Mysore, Manasagangotri, Mysore) for a period of 3 years.

Candidates with I or II Class (above 55%) M.Sc. degree in Zoology/ Genetics/Applied Genetics/Applied Zoology/Bio-Science/ Biochemistry are eligible to apply for the position.

UGC/CSIR NET passed candidates will be preferred.

Selected JRF will get a fellowship of Rs 16,000 + 15% HRA (per month) in the first 2 years and Rs 18,000 + 15% HRA (per month) in 3rd year if the research progress is satisfactory.
