Essential Qualification: Ph.D in any branch of Life Sciences.
Experience Required : 2 years postdoctoral research experience in basic and applied virology.
Desirable Qualification / Experience: Research experience in development of chemotherapeutic virus inhibitors.
Job requirement: The selected candidate is expected to develop independent projects in areas of virology, as well as participate in ongoing institutional research programs.
Age Limit: 32 years for Scientist and 37 years for Senior Scientist, relaxable by three years for OBC candidates.
Reservation Status: 1 (One) Unreserved and 1 (One) Reserved for OBC.
Pay Band: Rs. 15,600-39,100/-
Grade Pay: Rs. 6,600/- or Rs. 7,600. The Selection Committee depending upon the performance of the candidate my choose to place the candidate in any of the Grade Pay within the Pay Band subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criterion specified.
Total Emoluments : The total monthly emoluments at this level inclusive of all allowances would be between Rs. 54,300/- to 62,500/-.
Application fee: Bank Draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Director, IICB payable at Kolkata.(The application fee is exempted for PH Candidate)
