Position One Research Associate and three senior Research Fellows

Consolidated salary: SRF: Rs.18000/- p.m. for candidates from professional courses

Rs.16000/- p.m. for candidates from basic sciences

Research Associate: Rs. 22000/- p.m.

Qualification:

SRF: M.Sc./M.V.Sc. in Life Sciences/Genetics/Biotechnology with very good academic background. At least one publication in a high impact scientific journal is a MUST. Experience in molecular biology, medical sciences, genomics or proteomics and evidence of scholarly writing will be desirable.

Research experience and degree in bioinformatics is must for one SRF post. For candidates from basic sciences NET qualification is desirable.

RA: PhD or equivalent degree or research experience after completion of MVSc/MSc.

Job Profile:

SRF: Job includes performing research protocols involving mainly DNA and RNA. The candidate will be given the opportunity to learn and work on Next generation sequencing technology 454 sequencing by Roche. Candidates should have experience in research work involving handling RNA and DNA. Candidates will have to perform various work related to research project and scientific report writing. Candidate with high quality scientific writing aptitude are desirable. Candidates from bioinformatics should have experience in working with various bioinformatics tools and software used for nucleic acid sequence data analysis.

RA: Job profile includes same as above but RA should be able to work independently and should be adept in research involving DNA and RNA.
