Applications are invited for project based temporary position(s) under different R&D projects. Candidates having appropriate qualification in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic record and experience are encouraged to apply.

ICAR sponsored project entitled “Promoting Bioresource based livelihood opportunities for the tribal community in Lahaul-Spiti, cold desert area of trans Himalaya”.

01. Junior Research Fellow (02 No.)

Rs.12000/-pm + HRA.

*Initially up to 31st March 2012

Essential Qualification First class Masters degree in Botany/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry.

Desirable experience/ Duties Preference will be given to candidates with working experience in Himalayan region.

Conduct intensive research in remote high altitude areas/Cold desert area; synthesis of secondary information.

Experience of biochemical and Phytochemical analysis.

Experience of conducting surveys in remote areas in the Himalaya.

DST sponsored project entitled “Participatory water Management Plant for mid altitude Himalayan Villages using Optimized water harvesting systems”.

03. Field Research Assistant (1)

Rs. 5500/- pm fixed

*Initially for 12 months period.

Essential Qualification Graduate (with Science Background up to 12th) with minimum two years field experience.

Desirable experience/ Duties  Experience of working in high altitude areas.

Age Limit: JRF- 28 years, Field Research Assistant-40 years, Relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC as per Govt. norms.
