Applications on prescribed form along with a crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.400/- (Rupees 100/-for SC/ST candidates) payable to the Finance Officer, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla-171005, are invited for following Teaching /Non-teaching posts so as to reach Assistant Registrar, Recruitment Section, H.P. University, Shimla-171005 by 25.11.2011
1. (i) Professors (Pay Scale Rs.37400-67000+AGP 10000) for the following subjects in Post Graduate Centre, HPU, Shimla-5:
Biosciences—2,
Bio-Technology—1
(Specialization in molecular biology/tissue culture/ Enzyme Technology/Fermentation Technology)
(ii) Associate Professor (Pay Scale Rs.37400-67000+AGP 9000):
Bioscience—3,
(iii) Assistant Professor (Pay Scale Rs.15600-39100 +AGP 6000):
Biosciences—2 (1—Botany for UR and 1—Zoology for OBC),
Bio-Technology—1 (Environment Biotechnology),
The qualifications for the above posts (Except Medical Officer and Information Officer for Bio-Technology) are the same as prescribed by the UGC and adopted by the University from time to time.
The eligibility of the candidates will be determined on the basis of qualifications alongwith published work acquired by them up to the last date fixed for receipt of applications. For ascertaining educational qualification, experience and other conditions for the posts advertised, the candidate may visit UGC Website www.ugc.ac.in. and also go through the contents of UGC circular No. F.3-1/2009 dates 28-6- 2010. However, a set of qualifications will be made available with the application form in respect of non-teaching posts.
Candidates already in service should send their applications through proper channel. An advance copy along with required certificates / documents and fee etc., can be sent directly.
Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, Degrees and Certificates etc. for verification.
The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up these posts(s) or to call only limited/ suitable candidates for interview. The university also reserves the right to fill up these posts either on regular basis or on contract basis exemption being the post(s) of Professor, Associate Professor and statutory Officer in which case all appointments will be made on regular basis. The number of posts likely to be filled may vary.

University, Shimla-171 005 on payment of Rs.100/- (Rs. one hundred only) in cash or by making a written request accompanied by self-addressed envelope of 23 X 10 Cms. with postage stamps worth Rs.10/- affixed on it and Postal Orders for Rs.100/- (Rs. One hundred only) drawn in favour of
Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5.
Note:
i. Application received on plain paper, without fee, requisite documents and received after the last date shall not be entertained.
ii. A person applying for more than one post should send separate application form for each post.
iii. Paste passport size photograph duly attested by the competent authority on the front page of the application form.
iv. Candidates who have applied earlier as per revised UGC guidelines and also with
reference to previous advertisements need not to apply again. However, they may send additional information, if any.
v. The salary of the post of Assistant Professor in Journalism and Mass Communication, ICDEOL will be met out of the funds generated through the receipt of self-financing scheme.
vi. The salary of the Information Officer for Department of Bio-Technology will be met out of the Self financing funds of the Department.
vii. The salary of post(s) of Director, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and
Assistant Librarian in the University Institute of Legal Studies will be met out of Self financing funds of the University School of Legal Studies, HPU, Shimla-4.
