Recruitment for the post of “Research Associate / Postdoctoral Fellow” under funded project Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on contract basis:

Research Associate / Postdoctoral Fellow

Project “Capturing the ‘active’ chromatin in mammalian nucleus”

Funding Agency Swarnajayanti fellowship by Department of Science and Technology.

Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology OR
equivalent degree.

Preference Preference will be given to the candidates having experience with computational and functional genomics and/or proteomics. Programming experience in PERL/Python and statistical analysis using R is desired.

Working knowledge of various operating systems such as Linux, Solaris and Windows. Previous research experience (at least two years) in the above-mentioned
field is desired. Candidates with research publication(s) to support their experience would be preferred.

Salary Rs. 22,000-24,000/- per month + 20% HRA based on academic record and work experience of the candidate.

Tenure Initially for a period of one year which may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
