Junior Research Fellow (01)
Essential: First Class M.Sc. in Botany/ Ecology/Life Sciences/ Forestry / Agriculture
Desirable : Knowledge of Computer application
Rs. 12000 + HRA as per rule
28 years as on Ist June 2012.
5 years relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ women
Up to March,2013
Nature of Work Involves extensive field work and needs frequent visit in Forest area and requires working in laboratory.
Field Assistant (01)
Essential: B.Sc. with Botany/Forestry / Agriculture/ Life Sciences
Desirable : Knowledge of Computer application

The Posts are purely temporary. The Selected candidate may not claim for regular appointment at this Institute. The JRF/JPF/Project & Field Assistant will have to assist the P.I. in doing the different field /lab works. The walk-in-interview will be held on 30th January, 2012 in the Conference Hall of Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam. The Candidates are requested to report the reception between 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM and submit their applications on the prescribed format dully filled- up along with their complete BIO-DATA supported by one set of attested copies of certificates, marks sheets etc. A recent passport size of photograph must be affixed on the right top corner of their application.
Original Certificates must be produced at the time of Interview. Candidate may apply more than one post. The decision of the Director, RFRI, Jorhat will be final and binding in all the matter pertaining to screening, interview and final selection. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
