Junior Research Fellowships
The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is designed to be an international institution of excellence in biotechnology, with intimate contributions from regional countries as well as from academic institutions worldwide. RCB will provide a globally competitive platform for interdisciplinary research & education at biotech interface of engineering & medicine, chemistry & physics, agriculture & climate science to empower human resources to drive biotech innovations.
Applications are invited from post-graduate candidates who have obtained Master's degree in any discipline of the sciences or MBBS/ M.Pharma/ M.Tech/ MVSc, to work under the mentorship of its faculty as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) leading to a Ph.D. degree. Candidates should have intense interest to work at the interface of multiple disciplines. Presently pursued areas include Genetics, Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Disease Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Biology, Structural Biology, Plant Pathology and Nanobiotechnology. The fellowship is initially tenable for the duration of two years, and is extendable for additional three years. Continuation of fellowship and up gradation will be subject to satisfactory performance on annual review. The candidates who have completed their masters degree with 60% or more marks in their graduate and post-graduate degree examinations (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/PH candidates) and have qualified one of the following national level postgraduate examinations: CSIR-UGC NET for JRF, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF, ICAR JRF, DST INSPIRE-JRF or equivalent, are eligible to apply (Reservation as per GOI instructions).

Candidates should send the filled application form by email to registrar@rcb.res.in by 15th September, 2013. A signed copy of the same application along with a demand draft of Rs. 500/- (exempted for SC/ST/PH candidates) in favour of Executive Director, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Gurgaon-122016, Haryana should be sent by registered post to The Registrar, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, 180 Udyog Vihar Phase 1, Gurgaon-122016. Haryana, India by 15th September, 2013. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview for final selection.
