Workshop on Proteomics, Biomarkers and Diagnostics
21-25 OCTOBER 2013
REGIONAL CENTRE FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY
(Established by the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO)
180, Udyog Vihar Phase I, Gurgaon - 122016
FROM BASIC RESEARCH TO BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS
Proteomics has made vital impacts on various fields of biomedicine in the post-genomic era. This innovative research area, which operates at the confluence of multiple disciplines overlapping biology, chemistry, medicine, systems science and instrumentation engineering, has rapidly revolutionized both the depth and breadth
to which modern biotechnology and medicine are studied and analyzed.
This workshop will highlight the basic principles and methodologies of proteomics and its applications in molecular diagnostics, biomarker identification, drug discovery and clinical applications. Experts will impart theoretical knowledge interspersed with key practical demonstrations about various modern proteomic approaches and discuss data analysis and interpretation. The aim of the workshop is to expose participants to the power and versatility of this emerging arm of biotechnology in diverse biomedical applications and to spur them to use these technologies towards their own research goals.
SELECTION Participants will be selected based on the relevance of the candidate's research, letters of support and geographical distribution (aiming at a broader representation).
REGISTRATION Interested participants are encouraged to read the details of registration at our website and apply online at: www.rcb.res.in/workshop.html
Selected candidates would be requested to deposit a registration fee of Rs 3000/-
