SERB School on Chemical Ecology
(17–28 February 2014)
Sponsored by
SERB statutory body of (DST)
The National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore will conduct the SERB-sponsored School on Chemical Ecology in February 2014 as part of larger efforts to strengthen research in chemical ecology in India. Chemical ecology encompasses the study of all interactions that are mediated via chemicals and that impact the behaviour, ecology and evolution of interacting organisms. The school will emphasize the integrated study of physiology, behaviour and inter and intra-species chemical communication, cutting across barriers of phyla and kingdoms.
Twenty-five young researchers (advanced Ph.D. scholars, postdoctoral fellows or young faculty members) will be selected at an all-India level. Exceptional candidates at an earlier stage of their career may also be considered. National and international leading scientists in related areas will serve as faculty.
Applications are due 10 December 2013.
