Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Technical Assistant in a KSCSTE funded research project entitled "Transcriptional regulation of Tlx3 by Pax6 and its role on excitatory neural fate specification in vitro and in vivo" in the laboratory of Dr. Jackson James at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must have B.Sc in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Botany/ Zoology with first class. Should have good communication skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS : Will be responsible for ordering consumables/chemicals/ obtaining quotations from companies, generation of indents for purchase, drafting official letters etc.
AGE : Below 26 years as on 10th June, 2014
EMOLUMENTS : 6,000/- (consolidated per month).
Duration : Two years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview.

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
