Omics workshops in July 2014 at Institute of Bioinformatics

Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB) is a premier research center for Genomics, Proteomics and Human cell culture and Computational biology. IOB has established a state-of-the-art proteomics, metabolomics and human cell culture facility that is being utilized to explore and validate candidate biomarkers in a wide array of human diseases ranging from neurological disorders and infections to cancers. Scientists at IOB will share their expertise in these omics technologies with young researchers across India through a series of workshops. We have successfully conducted 20 national workshops on these omics technologies. Several faculties and students from reputed Research Institutes and Universities from India have participated in these workshops. In the year 2014 we have initiated a new series of workshops which will benefit students and researcher in the field of biomedical research.

About the workshop:

The workshop is being organized in facility of IOB, located in Bangalore in the International Tech Park (ITPB), Whitefield. This will provide a platform for the scientific fraternity and students to enhance their knowledge into new developments in the field of genomics, proteomics and metabolomics to boost up the research and share their views.

Registration fees for:

· Students (doctoral, post doctoral fellows): Rs. 15,000/-

· Faculty members: Rs. 20,000/-

· Industry participants: Rs. 30,000/-

· Foreign Participants: USD $600

· All applicants from North East India and Jammu & Kashmir: Rs. 13,000/-

· Participant registering for more than one workshop concession of Rs. 2000/

· Group registration of 3 or more students from the same Institute concession of Rs. 2000/

· Registration fee includes registration kit, snacks and lunch

· Good accommodation for participants with a very reasonable cost will be arranged on request.

· Accommodation will also cover breakfast, dinner and wi-fi. Cost of the accommodation is not included in the registration fee.

· Certificate of participation will be provided after the completion of workshop.
