For Temporary Appointment on the ICAR Sponsored Project on “AICRP on Post Harvest Technology” Qualified candidates for below mentioned posts are invited for Walk-In-Interview along with the information in the given prescribed format “Appendix-A” at Bombay Veterinary College, Parel, Mumbai-400 012 on 21.07.2014 at 10.00 am.

1 Senior Scientist (Livestock Product Technology / Veterinary Public Health/ Meat Science & Technology/ Food Hygiene & Public Health)
15600-39100 (Grade Pay 7600/-)
1 Qualification Essential: Doctoral degree with specialization in said discipline including relevant basic sciences with 4 years experience in the relevant subject as scientist/ lecturer/ extension specialist having made contribution to research/ teaching/ extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations OR Doctoral Degree in the relevant subject including relevant basic sciences with 4 years experience of high quality post doctoral research in an institution of repute, evidenced by publications in high impact/ renowned journals.
Desirable specialization and relevant research experience in the said discipline
1) He/She shall be responsible for maintenance, management & proper utilization of laboratories equipment& store etc.
2) Plan, execute the research work as per the technical programme of the project .
3) Supervise & co- ordinate the research work of the sub ordinate & report to Principal Investigator.
4) He/She responsible for developing the newer technologies regarding a utilization of slaughter house waste product & development and design of model for retail outlet & poultry processing plant.
5) Preparation of progress report of the project.
6) Perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by Principal Investigator.
2 Scientist
15600-39100 (Grade Pay 5400/- )
Master’s Degree in the discipline of Food Microbiology/ Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Public Health/ Food Hygiene & Public Health)
1) He/ She responsible for research related to risk assessment, food safety, development of PCR based techniques for rapid detection of food pathogens.
2) He/She responsible for planning & execution of research work as per technical programme.
3) Assistance to Senior Scientist to execute of research work.
4) Perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by Principal Investigator.
3 Scientist 15600-39100 (Grade Pay 5400/- )
1 Master’s Degree in the discipline of Meat Technology / Livestock Product Technology
1) He/ She responsible for development of process technologies, newer products and innovative research work.
2) He/She responsible for planning &execution of research work as per technical programme.
3) Perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by Principal Investigator.
The above posts are purely on contract basis & upto termination of the project or may be terminated earlier.
