Application are invited for a post of JRF in a DST, Govt. of India funded Project

Applications are invited for the following post at the Department of Botany, University of Rajasthan Jaipur, in a DST- SERB, Govt. of India funded project entitled” "Identification, Isolation and Characterization of Anti-Alzheimer’s Disease Compounds (Acetyl-Cholinesterase Inhibitors) from Natural Sources”.

Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 01

Fellowship : Rs.12,000 + 10% HRA per month for first two years and Rs.14,000 + 10% HRA per month for third year.

Essential qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent in Life-Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry or any other related area with strong academic record (with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate. In case of SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks shall be relaxed by 5%).

Desirable: Experience in isolation and characterization of plant secondary metabolites/small molecules from plants. Basic knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology techniques is desirable. NET (Lectureship)/GATE qualified will be preferred.

The project duration is for three years and the selected candidates would be appointed after an interview. Appointment will be purely on temporary basis as stipulated by the existing rules of the DST and University of Rajasthan, and co-terminus with the duration of project. The appointments shall be initially for a period of one year, renewable every year depending on the performance of project fellow.
