Advt. No. 18/2024 – Walk in Interview
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at
National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title: "Development of an endogenous STING agonist adjuvanted Mycobacterium bovis
BCG vaccine to enhance efficacy against tuberculosis."
PI: Dr. Bappaditya Dey. Funded by DBT.
Post Code: Senior Research Fellow (1 Position)
Tenable upto: September 15, 2024 (co-terminus with the duration of the project).
Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology,
Immunology, etc. with NET/GATE qualification along with 2 years of research experience
after Post-graduation in any of following relevant areas.
Experience: BSL3/ABSL3 work, handling of Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathogenic cultures.
Cell culture experience: handling of primary PBMC cells, mouse and human macrophage cells,
and in vitro infection of macrophages with M. tuberculosis and other Mycobacterium species.
ABSL3 work experience in handling mouse and guinea pigs, immunization, blood collection,
dissection, organ harvesting etc.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 35,000/- PM + HRA (If applicable) for candidates with National Eligibility
Test (NET) or GATE qualification and other terms as per DST guidelines.
Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per
Government Rules)

National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Opp. Journalist Colony, Near Gowlidoddy,
Extended Q City Road, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana on 21-June-2024 between 10:00
am to 12.00 pm with a photograph and copies of documents in support of date
of birth, educational qualifications, experience certificates etc.
