ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROJECT SCIENTIST POSITION

Applications are invited for the position of Project Scientist-1 (non-medical) from Indian Nationals only under an extramural ICMR funded project. The details of position are given below 

1.Project Title: “Rational drug designing, fabrication, and development of o-vanillin conjugated amino acid(s) derived molecules as critical inhibitor(s) and oral drug candidates against visceral leishmaniasis.”

Dr. Garima Chouhan (Co-PI), Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Sharda School of Technology, Sharda University

3.Position:  Project Research Scientist-1 (non-medical)

5. Job Location: Sharda University, Greater Noida

6.Qualifications:

Essential Qualification First class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees in Medicinal Chemistry/Biological Science Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Zoology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Animal Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering/ Genetics/ Genomics.  Second class Post Graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD in Chemistry/Biological Science Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Zoology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Animal Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering/ Genetics/ Genomics.

Desirable PhD in Biological Science/Medicinal Chemistry with experience in research on synthesis of Chemical compounds, work on clinically relevant infectious agents, animal cell cultures, animal models, molecular biology etc. Experience in overall project management and coordination with ICMR, data collection, compilation, bioinformatics and statistical analysis, preparation of scientific reports.

At the time of Interview, Candidate is required to bring updated bio-data, educational testimonials from class 10^th onwards, proof of date of birth, proof of experience (if any) and certificate of qualifying national test like CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICAR- NET/ GATE etc (if any).

8.Job Description: Duties of project Scientist include conducting research, handling laboratory data analysis, and contributing to the project's objectives

9.Salary: Rs. INR 56000/- with HRA (as applicable)

10.Tenure: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for maximum of 26 months. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Other Details:

1.    Appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or  compensation on termination of the project.

2.   Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency applicable to the said project.

3.    No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
