The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www.instem.res.in), Bangalore is an
autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology,
Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field
of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation.
To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative
interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.
iBRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual position to the post
of Senior Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Sunil Laxman. We are looking for dedicated
professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are
excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Monthly Emoluments:

4 years research experience
post MSc.
- Hands on Experience with
quantitative, high resolution
confocal imaging
- Hands on Expertise with gene
knock out and CRISPR/CAS9
based gene editing in S.
cerevisiae.
- Hands on expertise in
quantitative LC/MS/MS mass
spectrometry based analysis for
metabolomics and proteomics
(publications required)
- Hands on expertise in 13C,
15N and other stable isotope
based metabolic flux
experiments using LC/MS/MS
(publications required)
- Strong quantitative biology
skills, understanding of
quantitative metabolic models,
ability to compute metabolic
fluxes and reaction kinetics
(publications required).
The project is to study
metabolic organization, and
resource allocation
strategies in cells, using
yeast as a model system. The
listed qualifications and
experience in the
advertisement are all
essential.
Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on requirement and review of
progress and requirement of the Grant.
