Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow 

Applications are invited for recruitment of one (1) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on contractual basis under DBT funded project “Unraveling the etiology, characterization and seed transmission studies of new viruses associated with vein necrosis disease of soybean” at the Division of Seed Science and Technology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi110012.

The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview which will be held in Offline and Online mode at Division of Seed Science and Technology, ICAR Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India-110012 

Rs. 37000/pm- + 27% HRA For 1st and 2nd year & Rs. 42000/pm-+27% HRA for 3rd year 

Upper age limit: 35 years 

Essential: Master’s degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Plant Pathology/any relevant discipline of life sciences with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor's Degree. 

Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET/ GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OMNo. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014- HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30th January, 2019 

Desirable: Experience in basic molecular techniques (nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction, ligation, molecular cloning), Bioinformatics (Transcriptomics and Proteomics) and scientific writing; as evident from publications
