NBRC Algebraic Topology Research Scientist Vacancy


BIOTECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND INNOVATION COUNSIL-NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (BRIC-NBRC) invites application for the position of “Research Scientist I” on Contractual basis through Manpower agency for a project investigating implications of homological algebra in complex dynamical systems with applications to neuroscience.

Name of the post Research Scientist-I 

Essential Qualification Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree with at least one research article published in reputed journals focusing on systems or topology and/or three conference papers presented in IEEE or equivalent conferences focusing on the same. 

Desirable experience 

 Proficiency in Python/MATLAB is needed. 
 Well versed with system identification, dynamical systems and Algebraic topology is required. 
 Experience in Linux, parallel programming is desirable. 

Emoluments ₹ 58,000/- pm + HRA (as per applicable). No other allowances /benefits will be admissible. 

Age limit Maximum 35 years (as on the last date of receipt of application)

Tenure The tenure will be for a period of one year extendable another year based on performance review. 

Accommodation Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview.
