Walk-in-Interview on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 11:00 am onwards. 

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Scientific Administrative Assistant in the DBT multi-institutional project entitled “A National Mission Mode Program on Nutritional Improvement of Digestible Protein Content and Quality in Rice” under the supervision of Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Distinguished Scientist, NIPGR. 

The details of position are as under: 

Scientific Administrative Assistant (one post): 

Emoluments ₹. 18000/- plus 27% HRA per month, as sanctioned in the project. 

Qualification: Candidates having a Graduate degree in any discipline and fulfilling the guidelines as per DSTOM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020, are eligible to apply. 

Candidate having prior experience in day-to-day general laboratory and administrative-related works in any research laboratories/institutions will be given preference. Basic computer literacy with knowledge in MS Office tools is desirable. The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. 

The fellowship amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority.

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on August 11, 2025 (Monday) at 11:00 a.m. onwards for the post of One Technical Assistant 

Candidates are invited to appear before the selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary position of one Technical Assistant (TA) in the scheme of “Development of climate resilient chickpea and brassica by gene editing” at NIPGR under the supervision of Dr. Niranjan Chakraborty, INSA Senior Scientist and Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Distinguished Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR. The details of the position are as under: 

Technical Assistant (TA) (one post): 

Emoluments ₹ 30,000/- (consolidated). 

Qualification: Candidates having Bachelor’s degree or Integrated MSc in Plant biology/Botany/Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture/life sciences/ Bioinformatics are eligible to apply. 

Desirable Criteria: Basic knowledge of molecular biology tools/ techniques and handling plants tissue cultures will be preferred. The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project.
