NCBS invites applications from suitable individuals for the position of Project Associate on contract basis under the project titled “Understanding the impact of climate change on forest regeneration: how life history traits medicate seedling response to drought stress”.
Position: Project Associate

Consolidated Salary: Rs.31,000/- + 27% HRA as applicable.

Essential Qualification & Experience:
MSc/Integrated BSMS in Ecology, Botany, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences
Area of specialization required for the post: Plant Ecology, Field Research
Desirable qualification / Job Description:
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in ecology, preferably with a focus or interest on plants. Past field experience will be highly preferred as the project is entirely field based and requires extensive time to be spent at the field station in Western Ghats evergreen forests (Hassan, Karnataka). Knowledge of Kannada, Tamil, or Malayalam will be helpful.
Initially, the position will be for a period of 6 months, further extendable for a year with necessary review.
