Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the purely temporary position of Project
Associate-I (PA-I) under the gates Foundation funded project, titled: "Development of climate
resilient Chickpea and Brassica". The position will be under the supervision of Dr. Shiv Meena,
Scientist, NIPGR. The details are as follows:
Name of Position: Project Associate-I (PA-I) – 01 post.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- plus 27%
HRA per month.
Eligibility: Candidates having M.Sc. or M. Tech in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology,
Biotechnology, or a related discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA and
fulfilling the guidelines of DST Office Memorandum SR/S9/Z05/2019 dated 10/07/2020 are eligible
to apply. (Upper age limit- 35 Years)
Experience: Candidates with good prior experience in NGS data analysis (e.g., RNA-seq, ChIPseq etc.), integration of multi-omics datasets (such as transcriptomics, metabolomics,
epigenomics, proteomics etc.), database development, and proficiency in R, Python, and standard
bioinformatics tools will be preferred.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The
fellowship/emolument amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per
DBT/DST norms.
The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project
whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the
candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right
to select the candidate against the above post depending on the qualification and experience of
the candidate.
Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be
terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim
implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
