NOTICE INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR EMPANELMENT OF
CANDIDATES AS PROJECT STAFF PURELY ON TEMPORARY BASIS
The CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad, invites applications from eligible
candidates for empanelment as project staff in broad research areas
of Cell/ Molecular biology/ Structural biology/ Ecology & evolutionary
biology as below:
Essential qualification & Experience
Upper Age limit: 35 years
i) Masters/ Integrated Masters Degree in Natural or
Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences OR bachelor’s
degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a
recognized University or equivalent.
WITH/ WITHOUT Desirable number of years of experience
in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or science and Technology Organizations and
Scientific activities and services.
Upper Age limit: 40 years
ii) Doctoral Degree in Science/ Pharma/ MD/ MS OR Masters/
Integrated Masters degree in Engineering or Technology from
a recognized University or equivalent.
WITH/ WITHOUT Desirable number of years of experience
in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or science and Technology Organizations and
Scientific activities and services.
CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad (CSIR-CCMB) is a premier
Research Institute under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR),
an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
It is a leading research organization in frontier areas of modern biology and involved in
conducting high quality basic research and training in multidisciplinary areas of modern
biology and to seeking potential applications of the work.

1 How to apply Candidates who fulfill the qualifications and
experience are required to fill up the ONLINE

The name of the candidate in the application form must
be the same as mentioned in the certificate of class X.
In case the candidate has changed his name
subsequent to Class X, the evidence to that effect
should be furnished at the time of interview.
Candidates with last semester result awaited or
incomplete degrees are not eligible to apply.

September 2025.
2 Empanelment Empanelment means the shortlisted candidates will be
in the panel of CSIR-CCMB for six months from the
date of result. This notification is for creation of a
panel. The panel shall be in alphabetical order and not
to be construed as order of merit. The selection for
empanelment does not confer any right to candidate to
claim for engagement as project staff/ regular staff.
Candidates may be called only as per requirement of
CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad.
3 Mode of
empanelment
This involves two stages:
i) Screening of applications by a committee
duly constituted by the competent authority
for shortlisting eligible candidates.
ii) Interview (Online/offline) of the shortlisted
candidates by a selection committee duly
constituted by the competent authority for
Empanelment.
The date, time and venue of the interview will be
notified in due course through email only.
4 Engagement The engagement of empanelled candidates purely on
temporary basis with the approval of Competent
Authority shall be based on requirement in the projects
and availability of funds. The tenure may be extended
or curtailed based on the conduct and the performance
of the incumbent as well as requirement of the
institute. However, the engagement shall be co-
terminus with the duration of the project or decision of
the competent authority, whichever is earlier.
The engagement of project staff in different projects
either in same Lab/Instt. or different Lab./Instt. of
CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any
case.
5 Payment On engagement as project staff, payment of
emoluments shall be as per CSIR guidelines or
applicable funding agency guidelines issued from time
to time with the approval of the Competent authority.
6 Age Relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging
to the category of SC/ST/PwBD/Women and the
category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years
respectively or as per Govt. of India instructions issued
in this regard from time to time. Age will be calculated
as on the last date of receipt of online applications.

7 Experience The period of experience in a discipline / area of work
shall be counted after the date of acquiring the said
educational qualifications.
8 Leave The incumbent would not be entitled to any kind of
regular leave. However, they would be allowed for oneday Leave for each completed month in the event of
their engagement as project staff.
9 TA/DA No TA/ DA admissible for attending test/interview,
joining the position.
10 Office timings/
Working hours
The incumbent is required to perform the assigned
duties during working hours i.e. from 9:30 AM to 6:00
PM on working days. The incumbent will not be allowed
to take up any other assignment during the period of
engagement. He /She may be required to work on
Saturday/Sunday/other Gazetted holidays and
beyond working hours also if need be.
11 Tax deduction
at source
The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted,
as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source
before effecting the payment.
12 Confidentiality
of data and
documents
The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of the data
collected as well as the deliverables produced for the
office shall remain with this office. No one shall utilize
or publish or disclose or part with, to a third party, any
part of the data or statistics or proceedings or
information collected for the purpose of this
assignment or during the course of assignment for the
office, without the express written consent of the office.
The incumbent shall be bound to hand over the entire
set of records of assignment to the Office before the
expiry of the contract, and before the final payment is
released by the office.
13 Termination of
Service
The performance of project personnel would be
reviewed periodically so that candidates not found up
to the mark, could be terminated. The engagement may
be terminated at any time by the office without
assigning any reasons by giving a one month notice. In
case, the person desires to leave the assignment,
he/she may also do so by giving one month notice or
payment of one month stipend in lieu of, which can be
condoned/ curtailed/ extended depending upon the
discretion of the Competent Authority.
14 DISCLAIMER Candidates who are applying for any of the above areas
shall ensure that they fulfill the essential
qualifications. In case they are found not fulfilling the
essential criteria or that they have provided misleading
information, then their candidature for the post may
be rejected at any stage of empanelment or after
selection by the competent authority.
15 Disqualification Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence
political or otherwise will be treated as a
disqualification for the post.
