Applications are invited for a position of Junior Research Assistant (JRA), to work in the
research project, titled “Molecular identification and drug designing clues through in-silico
investigation of cestodes parasitizing ruminants and freshwater fishes from Meerut Region”,
sanctioned by Council of Science & Technology, U.P. (F. No. CST/AAS/D-1350, Dated:
29.08.2025) to the Department of Zoology, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, under
the supervision of the undersigned.
The details of the vacancy, requisite qualifications, and
Salary/ Emoluments per month are given below.
1. Junior Research Assistant (JRA): One Position for 3 Years.
2. Eligibility Criteria:
Essential qualification: First class in Graduate and Post-Graduate Examinations
(M.Sc. in Zoology/Applied Sciences), and a resident of Uttar Pradesh. The NET/GATE
/research work experience (life sciences) will be preferred.
Desirable: Essential knowledge of computer, Microsoft office and Bioinformatics
softwares for data analysis.
Age: The upper age limit for a Junior Research Assistant is 28 years as on 01.04.2025
as per UP-CST regulation.
3. Work Description: Prospective Junior Research Assistant (JRA) is required to contribute
in research experiments of this project, assist in administrative work, visit outstation
institutions for molecular work, data collection and preparation of draft reports, research
papers, etc.
4. Salary/ Emoluments per Months: As per by Council of Science & Technology, U.P.
Information & Guidelines for award of Research Internship and Grant-in-aid Regulations 1988
(₹25,000/- pm for 1st & 2nd year & ₹28,000/- pm for 3rd year consolidated).
5. How to apply: Interested candidates should come along with the duly filled prescribed form
given below, with recent passport size photograph and attested copies of testimonials to the
Department of Zoology, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, on the day of walk-ininterview. The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the interview.
Venue and Date of Interview: A walk-in interview will be held on November 03, 2025 at
11:30 A.M. in the office of the Head, Department of Zoology, Chaudhary Charan Singh
University, Meerut. No TA or DA is admissible to the candidate for appearing in the interview
