Applications are invited for the recruitment of one (01) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under the NASF project ‘Development of infectious clone, point-of-care diagnostics and transcriptome profiling for apple (Malus domestica) exhibiting mosaic disease associated with apple necrotic mosaic virus in Northwestern Himalayan region of India’ in Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi - 110012. The eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview on 11 November 2025 at 09:30 AM along with their complete bio-data in a prescribed Application Format. Rs. 37,000 + HRA p.m. 

Essential: Master degree in Plant Pathology / Virology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology with 4 / 5 years of Bachelor's Degree. 

Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET/GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated 30th January, 2019. 

Desirable: 

(i) NET/GATE qualified; 
(ii) Research experience in Plant Virology/Molecular Plant Pathology/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with knowledge of molecular biology techniques having high quality publications in SCI journal; 
(iii) Higher degree in relevant subject and research experience
