Candidates are invited for a walk-in-Interview for a JRF/ Research Assistant position in a project awarded by Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi under the scheme of “History of Science”, in the Department of Biotechnology, Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya Sarguja, Ambikapur, (CG) India.

Project Title: Investigations on ethno-zoological practices of insect and worm eating by the tribal communities of Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh, India
Post: Junior Research Fellow/ Research Assistant
No. of Positions: 1
Duration: Co-terminus with the project, provisionally up to March 2026. Selected candidates will be encouraged to enroll for PhD program subject to fulfilling the University norms and clearance of the University Research Entrance test.
Emolument: A consolidated fellowship Rs. 25000 per month for JRF / Rs. 18000 per month for Research Assistant will be provided.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc (Biotechnology) or allied discipline (with CSIR-UGC NET qualification and minimum 55% marks from a recognized institute/university is required for JRF. In case of non-availability of NET candidates non-NET candidates will be considered for Research Assistant position with an emolument of Rs. 18000 per month.
Selection Process:
