Walk-in-Interview on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. onwards for the post of two Research
Associate-I
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely
temporary positions of two Research Associate-I in the following projects under the supervision of Dr. Alok Krishna
Sinha, Scientist, NIPGR.
1. SERB-SPR Multi -Institutional project entitled “Combining constitutive and acquired tolerance traits for water
productive rice: An AI/ML model-based precision breeding”.
2. SERB-CRG project entitled “Investigating the role Mitogen-activated protein kinase in regulating photosynthesis in
rice”.
Research Associate-I (two Posts):
Emoluments `. 58000/- plus HRA per month and as sanctioned in the
project.
Qualification: Candidates having doctoral degree in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences or equivalent from a
recognized university and fulfilling the guidelines as per DST-OM number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated
26/06/2023 are eligible to apply.
Candidates having good publication record, and prior experience of working with
genetic transformation and gene editing in Rice crops, protein-protein interactions and kinase assays will be given
preference.
The above positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the
above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one
year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on
assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
NIPGR reserves the right to
select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving
one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any
regular position of NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR),
Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on December 26, 2025 at 10:30 am onwards along with the duly filled in
application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the date
of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 09:30
a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on December 26, 2025.
Any candidate reporting after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for walkin interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, Ph. D thesis, publication in copy
and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification.
Canvassing in any form or bringing
influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note: Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for
attending the walk-in-interview.
