Subject: Recruitment for the following post on a purely temporary basis in Extramural Research under the above-mentioned Project. 

Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the following posts on a purely temporary basis for the Extramural Research Project titled "Development of innovative Diagnostics for Fungal Diseases in India: Addressing a Neglected Public Health Concern" under Principal Investigator Prof. Ragini Tilak, Professor, Department of Microbiology, IMS, BHU Varanasi as per the details given below: 

Vacancy I 

Name of the Project Post Project Research Scientist-I (NM) 

Number of the Post 01 (UR) 

Minimum Essential Qualification Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees. PhD in microbiology will be given preference. 

Desirable Qualification PHD in Medical Microbiology, MSc in Microbiology. Microbiology lab experience preferably in area of Mycology. 

Key Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing fungal conventional and molecular diagnostics. Key responsibilities include specimen handling, fungal culture, molecular testing, and antifungal susceptibility testing. The individual must be willing for field work including overseeing search and data analysis for neglected fungal diseases in villages of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The individual will also support training, sample processing and coordination with the strain repository team, Field supervision & travel. 

Consolidated Remuneration Rs. 56000 + 20% HRA/month 

Tenure 11 Months (extendable, till project continues as per performance) 

Age Limit 35 years (Age relaxation will be as per Govt. rules)

 Vacancy II 

Name of project Post Project Technical Support-I 

Number of Posts 01 (UR) 

Minimum Essential Qualification 12th in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/BSc MLT) + 5 year experience in relevant subject OR field or three years Graduate degree in relevant subject + 2 year experience in relevant subject & field travel. 

Desirable Qualification MSc Microbiology with lab experience preferably in area of Medical Mycology. 

Key Responsibilities: Data entry, Lab testing and analysis including specimen handling, fungal culture, slide preparation, antifungal susceptibility testing & molecular diagnostics, sample tracking, establishment and maintaining connections with local institutions for sample referral and diagnostics. 

Consolidated Remuneration : Rs. 20,000 + 20% HRA/month 

Tenure 11 Months Age Limit 30years(extendable as per performance)

Vacancy III 

Name of project Post Project Technical Support-II (Field Staff)

Number of Posts 02 (UR) 

Minimum Essential Qualification 12th in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/BSc MLT) + 5 year experience in relevant subject OR field or three years Graduate degree in relevant subject + 2 year experience in relevant subject. 

Desirable Qualification Experience in field work and collection data for Microbiology Laboratory. Extensive field travel 

Key Responsibilities Field training, community outreach, coordination with ASHA workers, Follow-up coordination for sample transport and patient revisit scheduling, local connections build up, data entry and specimen handling. The job includes field work in the villages of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. 

Consolidated Remuneration Rs. 20,000 + 20% HRA/month 

Tenure: 11Months Age Limit 28 years (as per Govt. rules) (extendable as per performance)
