Educational Qualification & Working Knowledge
M.Sc./M.Tech (or equivalent) in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/
Molecular Biology/ Marine Science (Biology) Biological Sciences/
Biochemistry/ Zoology/ Animal Science / Botany/ Genetics/ Environmental
Science OR any other related branch with minimum 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA in
10 point scale. Final year students/Result awaited student may also apply.
Valid GATE score or NET certificate of CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/ICAR (LS/JRF).
Experience / Software / Skillset & Desirable Qualification:
Prior experience in Microbiology/ Biofilm biology/ Bioremediation/
Bacterial cell biology/ Molecular biology/ cell & molecular techniques
(PCR, RT-PCR, Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence, spectroscopy, protein
purification, bioactive microbial metabolites etc.) will be preferred.
Job Description: This is the project under “Odisha Marine Biotechnology Research & Innovation
Corridor” (OMBRIC) of S&T Dept, Govt of Odisha which involves extensive work on marine
microorganisms and microbial products including the enzymes. Selected candidate may be
enrolled for PhD programme of our Institute following the Institute's guidelines.
