Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the temporary position of
Assistant for the research project titled “Development of Biopesticides from the
Selected Ferns of the Western Ghats, Kerala” in the Department of
Biochemistry, University of Kerala
Position: Assistant (Research Project)

Essential Qualification:
Post graduate degree in Life Science from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification:
Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint.
Experience in office administration, file management, and documentation.
Experience in handling purchase-related documentation, quotations, stock
registers, and basic project records in a research laboratory or academic
institution will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of laboratory practices, biosafety procedures, and the
nature of research consumables used in biomedical experiments.
Nature of Work:
Assisting in day-to-day administrative activities of the project.
Maintaining project files, records, and documentation.
Monitoring routine laboratory activities associated with the project, including
plant extraction processes and related documentation.
Coordinating schedules for laboratory work, maintaining inventory records,
and ensuring proper storage and handling of research materials.
Tenure:
The appointment will be purely temporary.
Remuneration:
Consolidated wages of Rs 710/- per day with maximum monthly pay of Rs. 19,170/-
Age Limit:
Not above 40 years
