Monthly remuneration The candidate will be paid a stipend of Rs. 42,000 + 30% HRA per month = Rs. 54,600

Tenure (in years and months) The initial appointment will be for 1 year. The contract will be renewable subject to satisfactory
performance and project requirements. The total project duration is 3 years. Selected candidate will have
to join immediately.
Essential qualification(s)
i. M.Sc. degree (with minimum 55% marks) in Life Sciences / Molecular
Medicine/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or equivalent subject.
ii. Candidate must have National Eligibility Test - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE
qualified, OR selected through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments
and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, ICMR, IISc, IISER etc.
iii. Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of research experience in the relevant area, and experienced
in mammalian cell culture (preferably primary cell culture) and molecular biology experiments such as
Western blotting/RT-qPCR and cloning/siRNA transfection.
Desirable The candidate should have knowledge and research experience in the area of Virology/ Molecular Biology/
Biochemistry/ mammalian cell culture, and animal handling. Candidate should have experience in designing
and executing the experiments, and hands-on experience in operating high end scientific equipment(s),
preferably Confocal microscopy/Fluorescence microscopy/FACS.

Age limit, if any Not more than 35 years.

Appointment in the project will be purely on a temporary basis. There is no guarantee of employment at Jamia Hamdard or
admission to the PhD programme at Jamia Hamdard based on appointment to the project. Temporary appointment in projects
will also not be counted for experience purposes for jobs in Jamia Hamdard.
