PhD ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT 2026-27
JULY 2026 SESSION-NOTIFICATION
University of Hyderabad, an Institution of Eminence, invites bright, aspiring students
committed to excellence to apply for admission to 28 Ph.D. programmes (enclosed as
Annexure-I) through an All-India Entrance Examination to be conducted by University of
Hyderabad.
Note:
1. Candidates are required to apply online through University website:
https://acad.uohyd.ac.in.
2. Candidates having valid JRF scores (Catergory-l only) in the relevant subjects are
exempted from writing the University of Hyderabad entrance exam and such candidates
shall be called to attend interview directly. Marks obtained in the interview (Out of 30)
shall be scaled to 100 for the purpose of generating merit list.

Entrance Examination (for subj ects referred at Annexure I) is likely to be held in the following
cities, subj ect to a minimum of 100 candidates applying for the respective centre, failing which
the candidates of the centre concerned will be shifted to the other centre as would be deemed
fit by the University:
1. Hyderabad 2. Kochi 3. Patna 4. Delhi 5. Guwahati 6. Kolkata 7. Bhubaneshwar
Hall Tickets for the entrance examination can be downloaded from the website. List of
candidates shortlisted for the interview and list of selected/wait-listed candidates will be
published on the university website only. Candidates may please check the university website
for results and the relevant formats required for admission. No personal communication will
be made to the candidates in this regard.
The details of programmes of study offered, eligibility criteria, intake, and reservation roster
are available in Annexure-I and Annexure-2 of this notification. For fee payable, reservation
policy and other information, please refer to the website http://acad.uohyd.ac.in or
http://www.uohyd.ac.in. This notification forms part and parcel of the Prospectus 2026-27.
Note: Candidates may note that any modifications to this admission notification shall be
released in the form of Corrigendum/Addendum only on the website htt ://acad.uoh cl.ac.in
and there shall be no other form of communication to any candidates.
