BRIC- Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar is a leading national institution in India under the
Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. ILS has a broad vision of
conducting high-quality, multidisciplinary research to advance human health, longevity, agriculture, and the
environment.
ILS has several advanced multidisciplinary research programs in the areas of Infectious Disease
Biology, Cancer Biology, Interdisciplinary Biology, and Plant & Marine Biotechnology.
The Institute invites applications for faculty positions from eligible early as well as mid-career scientists
(from Indian citizens only) with leadership potential in the field and passion for innovative research to set up
independent multidisciplinary research programs specifically in the areas of Cancer immunotherapy, Clinical
genomics, Gene therapy, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Metabolic and neurological disorders, Neglected tropical
diseases, AMR, Vaccine development, Structural biology, Enzyme engineering, and Smart cereal crops.

Applicants should be committed to scientific excellence, willing to collaborate on interdisciplinary
projects, and willing to teach doctoral students.
Quality of scientific productivity, capability for independent
thinking, track record of translational or applied research, and ability to generate extramural funding will also be
major factors in the selection. Investigators will be provided independent laboratory space and adequate startup resources. They are expected to drive their research by generating significant extramural funding after the
initial support from the institute.
