Walk-in-Interview for the Selection of Project Associate I on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.
Applications are invited for a position of Project Associate-I, to work in the research project, titled "Potato
Weed-vector Virome Analysis Using High-throughput Sequencing and Translational Diagnostic Assays for
weeds and important viruses for production of quality potato seeds", sanctioned by ANRF
(ANRE/PMP/2025/000296/AGS dated: 19 February, 2026) to the Chaudhary Charan Singh University,
Meerut, under the supervision Prof. Virendra Kumar Baranwal, ANRF-PM Professor.
The details of the
vacancy, requisite qualifications, and Salary/ Emoluments per Month are given below
1. Project Associate-I: One position for 2 Years.
2. Eligibility Criteria:
Master's Degree in Agricultural Sciences / Biological Sciences with evidence from published work
in the area of Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology.
Desirability: Essential knowledge of computer and Bioinformatics software's for data
analysis.
Age: Upper age limit 35
3. Work Description: The proposed Young Professional-I shall assist in:
1. Coordination of research and mentoring activities.
2. Documentation and preparation of technical reports, progress reports, and project
records.
3. Data compilation, analysis, and maintenance of programme-related records.
4. Organization of workshops, seminars, training programmes, and academic interactions.
5. Liaison with University departments, ANRE, collaborating institutions, and
stakeholders.
6. Any other academic and administrative work assigned under the PM Professorship
Programme.
4. Salary/ Emoluments per Months: As per SB/S9/Z-07/2020 dated 25 August 2020
i) For CSIR-UGC NET Qualified: Rs. 31000 + HRA
(ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
5. How to apply: Interested candidates should come along with the duly filled prescribed form
(available at university website), with recent passport size photograph and attested copies of testimonials to the Department of Microbiology, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut,
on the day of interview. The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the interview.
