Walk-in Interview for Paid Internship Position at IISER Kolkata
We are looking for an intern to work for two months in a project on “Investigating adaptive
strategies of forest trees to temperature and water stress to inform climate-resilient forestation in
central India”, funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The intern will be responsible for carrying out laboratory analysis of leaf, wood, and soil samples
collected from forest trees at multiple forest sites in Madhya Pradesh
1. Number of positions available: 1 (one) position for 2 (two) months.
2. Project Funding Agency: STARS – Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi
3. Project PI: Prof. Robert John Chandran, Department of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of
Science Education and Research Kolkata, West Bengal.
4. Essential Qualifications: Master’s Degree in any Basic Science, with interest and/or
experience in Plant Ecology or Plant Sciences.
5. Duration and Salary: The employment will be for a period of 2 (two) months. The selected
candidates will be paid Rs 18,000 per month (consolidated).
