Applications are invited for the temporary post of Project Research Scientist II, Department of Medical Sciences
and Technology (MST), IIT Madras.
Co-ordinator: Prof. Narayanan Madaboosi Srinivasan, MST, IIT Madras.
Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable based on the performance.

• First-class PG degree (including integrated
PG) with 3 years of experience, or PhD.
OR
• Second-class PG degree (including
integrated PG), with PhD and 3 years of
experience.
Job Description:
• Bioassay development pertaining to deliverables aligned with biosensing of specific biomarkers (DNA, cell-free DNA and RNA), and lateral flow testing.
• Integration of bioassay modules with optical and opto-mechanical readout units for validation studies.
• Coordination with core facility for performing spatial studies on tissue samples.
• Compilation of technical reports and publications, for their timely completion and submission.
• Experience in design and development of nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) will be preferred.
• Knowledge & experience in diverse modes of readout platform operations.
• Project Research Scientist-II(Non-Medical) the “ICMR-sponsored project titled “ICMR Centre for Advanced Research – ICMR-NIRT CCR for Tuberculosis Diagnostics & Therapeutics”

The completion of the period of contract will not confer any right for further extension, regularization,
permanency at the Institute.
