Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a temporary basis in the research project entitled, ‘Effect of additives on the characteristics of proteins, pentosans and protein–carbohydrate interactions in wheat flour in relation to chapati-making quality’ funded by Department of Atomic Energy, Board of Research and Nuclear Sciences (DAE– BRNS), tenable at Biochemistry and Nutrition Department, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore.

Essential qualification

Post graduate in Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Life Sciences and should have qualified for
Lectureship only in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR–UGC.

Total emoluments

Rs 10,000 per month plus HRA as per DAE–BRNS/CSIR Rules.
Terms and conditions
1. Candidates should not exceed 28 years of age as on 02-05-2008, i.e. the last date of applying for the posts.
2. The engagement of JRF is exclusively for the above-mentioned project.
3. The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the project funded by DAEBRNS, sponsored for the maximum period of three years.
4. The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever
either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions or precedent.
5. No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
