WHO CAN APPLY:
Ph.D : Candidates with at least 55% marks at Master Degree level from any recognized University. Relaxation up to 5% is admissible in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
MSc : (i) Candidates who have passed the Three Year Degree Course Examination of any other recognized University (ii) For M.Sc. Environmental Sciences: Candidate having graduate degree with Major/Honours in any of the subject Environmental Science/Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology shall be eligible to take admission
HOW TO APPLY:
Prescribed application forms with Prospectus can be obtained in person from the Receptionist, Administrative Building, Permanent Campus, Shillong – 793022 or from the office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, NEHU, Tura Campus, Tura – 794001 during office hours on payment of Rs. 100/- through University Challan/Banker’s Cheque/Bank Draft in favour of “ North Eastern Hill University” request for admission form and by post should be addressed to the Dean Students Welfare, NEHU, Permanent Campus, Shillong – 793022, accompanied by a self addressed envelop of 26x16cm size affixing Rs.25/-postage stamp thereon and enclosing D.D for Rs.100/-. The application form/Prospectus fee is not reimbursable. The admission form may also be downloaded from www.nehu.ac.in and filled-in application form alongwith the Demand Draft can be sent to the Dean Students’ Welfare, NEHU, Shillong – 793022.
LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS:
Application forms duly filled-in are to be submitted to the concerned Department/Centres located in Shillong as well as in Tura Campus, on or before 18th July, 2008. Application received after the specified date will not be entertained. However, NEHU students can apply and submit their form ahead of the deadline. They may submit their mark sheets as and when their result is declared. For full information the candidates may consult the Prospectus of the Universit.
