Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu is a premier R&D Institute under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
This Institute carry out research & development tasks mainly in the areas of Indian traditional medicines, Herbal drugs, Natural Product Chemistry, Phytochemicals & Botanicals, Pharmacology, Biotechnology etc.
Scientist E -Biotechnology (1 post)
Qualification: Ist Class M.Sc. OR Equivalent in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences with a minimum of 13 yrs research experience OR with 10 years research experience after obtaining Ph. D degree in relevant areas.
Scientist E-I Gr. IV(3) 1 Post - Biosciences
Qualification:Ist Class M. Sc in Bio-Sciences(Biosystematics, conservation Biology & resource mapping) with 7 years experience or 4 yrs. experience after Ph. D. in the relevant area evidenced by high quality publications
Scientist E-I Gr. IV(3) 2 posts - Fermentation Technology and Microbiology/Fermentation
Qualification :
a)Ist Class Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical / Biochemical Engineering from a highly reputed University with at least 7 years experience in the area of Fermentation Technology.
b)Ph. D. in Microbiology with 4 years research experience in the area of Microbiology / Fermentation Process Development.
Scientist C Gr. IV(2) 1 Post - Biotechnology
Qualification: Ist Class Bachelor of Engineering with at least 4 years of research experience in Bio-informatics and computer modeling of Bio-molecules
Scientist C Gr. IV(2) 1 post (UR) - PME & Business Development
Qualification : 1st class M.Sc. (Chemical / Life Sciences) / MBA/ B.Tech.(Chemical Engg.) with 3years experience in Project Management /Business development and planning in large R&D or technology / Industrial organizationScientist B, Gr. IV(1) 1 Post ( ST) - Botany
Qualification : Ist class M.Sc./ or equivalent qualifications. or Ph. D. in Botanical Sciences
Scientist B, Gr. IV(1) 1 Post (OBC) - Fermentation Technology
Qualification : Ist class M.Sc./ B.E. / B. Tech./ M. Tech./ or equivalent qualifications in Fermentation Technology
Scientist B, Gr. IV(1) 1 Post ( SC ) - Microbiology
Qualification:1st class M.Sc / B. Tech or equivalent qualification or Ph. D. in Bio-sciences / Microbiology/ Biotechnology
Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions may apply in the prescribed proforma which can be downloaded from www.iiim.res.in/www.rrljammu.org with an application fee of Rs. 100/-( US $ 25 in case of candidates applying from abroad ) payable by D.D. in favour of
Director, IIIM, Jammu. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories or Council employees are exempted from payment of fee.
Separate application forms should be submitted for each post for candidates who wish to apply for more than one post.
Completed applications in all respects, supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, experience certificates, caste certificate issued by the competent authority (in the case of SC/ST/OBC, etc.) along with one recent passport size photo affixed(duly signed on the photo) , together with an application fee as stated above may be sent in an envelope mentioning “Application for the post of (__________________), Post Code ____________) “to the Director, Indian institute of Integrative Medicine , Canal Road, Jammu (Tawi) 180001 so as to reach on or before 21.07.2008. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected. The upper age limit will be reckoned as on 21.07.2008 which is relaxable as per Govt. orders in force from time to time in respect of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates and Council servants. Relaxation of upper age limit of 5 years is also applicable for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J& K during the period of 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of a certificate [ certificate must be attached with the application] from the District Magistrate in whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided OR from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of J & K State.
