The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) is an autonomous body under Government of Kerala, constituted to promote excellence in Science & Technology in the State through learning research and development with the involvement of academia, industry and Research Organisations. The Council manages a number of R&D Institutions in the State, joint venture projects with R&D /academic institutions and operates over 20 major research programms and projects from the Headquarters. In order to keep the Council & its R&D Institutions in the forefront of their respective expertise and innovations we are looking for dynamic, result oriented Scientists in various disciplines.

Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) is a premier forestry research institute in the country. Within a short span of its existence KFRI has made a strong niche among the tropical forestry research institutions within India and abroad by conducting time bound, focused and need – based research on priority areas of tropical forestry, including Wildlife Biology, Socio-economics and Wood Science & Technology. The main campus of KFRI is at Peechi, near Thrissur. It has a Sub-centre at Nilambur and Field Research Centre at Palapilly for undertaking field based research.

Centre for Water Resources Development Management, Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode
Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) is a centre of excellence in Research and Development in all spheres of water management established for conducting research and studies on assessment, conservation, development and utilization of water resources in the country with special reference to Kerala. It is situated in the suburbs of the historic city of Kozhikode.

Qualifications : Ph. D. in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Environmental Chemistry
For candidates with Ph. D in Engg. Subjects, experience requirements may be relaxed.
General : The number of vacancies and the grades may vary as at the time of selection. If suitable candidates for higher grades are not available such posts will be filled at a lower grade. Hence candidates fulfulling the minimum requirements for Scientist B and above in respective specialities may apply. In the case of exceptionally meritorious candidates, relaxation in the requirements may apply. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the above positions.
Age : For Scientist B below 35 years, Scientist E1 below 40 years, Scientist E2 below 45 years and Assistant Librarian below 35 years as on the closing date of application. The age limit may be relaxed in the case of internal candidates.Relaxation to the candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, etc. will be allowed as per State Government rules.
