Application are invited from suitable candidates for filling up positions of contract researchers in the project entitled “Centre for Biofuels” GAP 141539 in National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram.

Category-III

Contract researcher (3 nos)

Qualification and experience

First class postgraduate degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Science, or B.Tech/B.E in Chemical Engineering/Biotechnology;

Desirable. Research experience on any aspect in the area of biofuels.

For category III, a walk-in written test/interview will be held at National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Industrial Estate, Thiruvananthapuram at 0900h on 12.11.2008.

Candidates must have passed the requisite qualifying examination. Original documents along with attested copies of final year mark sheets/certificates of qualifying examination, age proof, caste and details of relatives working in NIIST/CSIR and details of engagement in any project in NIIST/CSIR or its lab/instt should be produced at the time of written test/interview. Kindly note that no TA will be provided for attending the test/interview. However, those having NET (LS) or GATE (>85 percentile) qualification or having research experience in the area of biofuels will qualify for the interview directly.
