ICAR/NAIP Project “Molecular tools for exploitation for Heterosis, Yield and oil quality in sesame”

The project is tenable upto 31st March 2012.

Fellowship : On a fellowship of Rs. 12,000/- p.m., plus admissible HRA and
Medical benefit.

Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in any branch of Biological Sciences with
NET/GATE qualification.

Walk-in-Interview will be held on 12.11.2008 at 12.30 p.m. in the Seminar Room
of the P.M.C.G. Section at the Centenary Campus of Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T.,
Scheme-VIIM, Kolkata- 700 054

Research Area :

1. Identification of tapetum specific differentially expressed genes from sesame by functional genomics.
2. Expression of cytotoxic genes in sesame for generation of male sterile lines.

Age : Below 28 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only)
